My favorite tea strainer

I brew high end sencha loose in the pot, then strain through this bamboo basket. It can pick up a bit of flavor from the bamboo, but I find that pleasing. From experience, I know that the bamboo flavor will fade with age. The only way I can think of to improve the strainer would be to pre-age the bamboo a bit.
